چکیده

translations Une visite touristique dans les domiciles des défunts Cet article porte sur un type de tourisme qui existedans un territoire de signification ambigu, relative-ment peu cartographié et qui traverse les limitesentre les domaines conceptuels du pèlerinage, de lacommémoration et de l’hédonisme. Ces visitestouristiques et les activités qui s’y rattachent ontété conçues par suite d’histoires traumatisantes, etsont également le reflet de la montée en importancedes formes laı̈ques de l’expérience spirituelle parlesquelles la quête de la révélation est centrée sur soiplutôt qu’être hiérophantique. Les sites commém-oratifs de l’Holocauste soulèvent avec force desinterrogations sur le souvenir et l’oubli, laculpabilité et la rédemption, et la signification etl’appartenance. Toutefois, même ces sites haute-ment consacrés et chargés d’émotions intenses sontvécus par la médiation de formes mimétiques et deprocessus de représentation qui reclassent témoig-nage et preuve de façon significative. Par ailleurs,l’enracinement de la mémoire collective dans leslieux et dans les structures sacralisées a tendance àdistancer, externaliser et désarmer le souvenirtraumatique.
